The organization provides a safe, informative, proactive, veteran, advocacy program service in a holistic environment, in which the dynamics of emotional, financial, social, and veteran programs are integrated fully into the surrounding community.  We do this through our MAP program with it unique purpose of alleviating financial hardships resulting from military deployments.  Such emergency aid is in the form of a “one-time grants” to the service members or qualified family members.  We also will offer VFW School Community Impact programs, educational outreach, ROTC assistance in the implementation of programs and services, social service advocacy and other forms of veteran and community support.

VFW Post 9761 is on the cusp of new horizons and services.  We will always continue to strive to find additional opportunities to offer quality outreach program services and events for the community.

The Post 9761 is not only devoted to caring for its own, it is also very involved in community service work, both physical and financial. Education of the nation's youth is of deep concern to the VFW. We have one of the best scholarship programs in the United States. The "Voice of Democracy" is a speech writing, radio broadcast, program for high school students in the 10th thru 12th grades and is administered each year through out the US. Our goal and objectives in providing programs will be directed to:
